スイカ割りは、日本の夏の風物詩。スイカ割りは、用意したスイカの果実を、目隠しをした挑戦者が周囲の声だけを頼りに、手にした棒で割る遊び。前もって挑戦者の体をくるくる回転させ、平衡感覚を狂わせてから開始するとよいでしょう。海水浴場などの砂浜で行われることが多いですが、ガーデンでも楽しめます。最近では、一度も経験したことがない子供たちが多いようで残念です。挑戦者は視界がほとんどないので、周りは故意にスイカがない方向を指示したりして、誰の声を信じるか・・・・信じた声のとおりに行えるかなど・・・とても楽しい心理ゲームでもあります。ただ、スイカ割りに参加しない第三者との接触や棒による怪我等のトラブルを発生させてしまう可能性があるので、挑戦者以外の参加者は注意する必要があります。昔懐かしいスイカ割り。とても楽しいですよ。割ったスイカは温まらないうちにお召し上がりください。
